Principal Conductor of the TV BRICS International Symphony Orchestra, Mikhail Golikov, is on the jury of the III All-Russian Competition for Young Composers "Partitura"
According to Mikhail Golikov, Russia has always been and remains a grandiose forge of talents. "The main task of the jury is to discover and appreciate the names of young composers whose music should sound, should become recognisable," said the conductor.
The Partita competition is a chance for composers under 35 to make themselves known. The works of the contestants in September-October 2024 will be evaluated by a representative jury of renowned composers, conductors, and performers: Aleksander Sokolov, Yury Bashmet, Aleksander Zatsepin, Dmitry Bertman, Igor Butman, Maksim Dunaevsky, Aleksander Zhurbin, and many others. For the first time among the judges of the competition is Zuo Zhenguan, a Soviet and Russian composer with Chinese ethnic roots, musicologist, pedagogue, musical and social activist, and author of musical works.
The works of the competition winners will be included in the programme of the gala concert to be held on 26 November in the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory and performed by the Moscow State Academic Symphony Orchestra.
The Partita competition is organised by the Foundation for Innovative Development of Culture, Education, and Science (FIRCON) together with the Russian State Musical Television and Radio Centre Orpheus with the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives.
